You asked me to work hard
And yet you chose her
So where is my life guard
To save me from this ocean of tears

He told me to concentrate on my studies
And yet she was the who did the best
While I was the one who got the thirties
Where is the justice in life

She told me it was useless
She told me to give up
She told me that I was hopeless
And that I should just quit in life

Was I ever going to make it
Were my efforts ever going to pay off
And when will I ever realize that I’m just a dimwit
Who will never fit in

My rainbow of hope became broken
Overtaken by desolation, desperation and demoralization
These clouds loom by the horizon
As darkness enveloped my heart

I feel encompassed
By unpleasant distressing feelings
I feel overwhelmed
By all my personal failures
I feel a loss of continuity
By my inadequacy

As I look down at my feet
I see forty stories of concrete jungle
I admit defeat
Because I am never as good as you

And then I take a step
And jump
